Yandex Products — exporting items to Yandex Search
Yandex Products (account at merchants.yandex.ru) is a free Yandex service that displays your store's items right in search results: in organic snippets, under the "Products" tab (section), in Images, in product blocks such as "Popular Products" and "Prices in Stores", as well as in responses from the voice assistant Alice. In addition, the dashboard provides visibility analytics showing how your items appear in search.
Important: this is not a marketplace. There are no orders directly inside Yandex Products — when a buyer sees your item in search, they click through to your store's website and place the order there. Do not confuse this service with Yandex Market (partner.market.yandex.ru, which handles sales and logistics) or Yandex Eats.
It is connected on our platform as an extension in the App Store (admin.menio.ru/app-store) — the "Yandex Products" card. After connecting, the platform automatically generates and continuously updates the YML feed of your location's catalog, and all you need to do is paste the link to this feed into your Yandex account.
What You Need
- A Yandex ID account (to log in to the Yandex Products dashboard).
- A published storefront website for your location on our platform — the customer-facing store website (a subdomain like
{магазин}.menio.ruor a branded/custom domain; see the "Appearance" and domains settings). Yandex snippets will point directly to it. - A filled-out catalog: items must have names, prices, categories, and preferably photos and descriptions — without them, items perform significantly worse in search results.
- A business focused on retail trade in the Russian Federation (the service is designed for retail merchandise stores).
Step 1. Platform Connection and Feed URL
- Open the App Store (
admin.menio.ru/app-store) and go to the "By Locations" tab. - Find the "Yandex Goods" card and open it.
- In the integrations section of the desired location, click "Connect".
- After connecting, the platform will automatically generate a public YML feed for this location and display a "Feed URL" field with a copy button in the section.
- Click "Copy" — you will need this link in step 3.
The feed is generated from the location's catalog and updates automatically when changes are made to the catalog. The feed includes: item names, current prices (and old/strikethrough prices for discounts), currency, categories, photos, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, and links to item pages on the location's website.
There is no need to export or update the file manually — the platform ensures the feed remains up to date.
Step 2. Registering the website in the Yandex account
- Log in to merchants.yandex.ru using your Yandex ID.
- Add the website of your store (the domain where your location's storefront is published).
- Verify ownership of the website. Yandex offers several methods: a meta tag on the main page, an HTML file in the root directory, or a DNS record.
How to verify ownership on our platform:
- Custom domain (you manage its DNS) — use the "DNS record" method: add the record shown in your Yandex account at your registrar/DNS provider. This is the most reliable way because it does not depend on page markup.
- Platform subdomain (
{store}.menio.ruand branded domains) — currently, the platform does not allow inserting a custom verification meta tag or HTML file into the client website, and you do not control the subdomain's DNS. In this case, contact support — we will help verify domain ownership for your location.
Check the current list of verification methods directly in your Yandex account — the interface may change.
Step 3. Adding the Feed
- In the dashboard, open Products → Data Sources → Feeds.
- Click "Add" and select "Specify file link".
- Fill in: source name, sales regions, and the feed link copied in Step 1.
- Click "Add".
Yandex will submit the feed for verification. It can take up to 5 business days. You can check the status on the "Feeds" tab.
Yandex feed requirements (our feed complies with them automatically):
- YML format (
yml_catalog→shop→offers); - required offer fields (
offer):name,url,price,currencyId,categoryId; - recommended fields:
picture,description,vendor,barcode, parameters, weight/dimensions; - encoding UTF-8,
Content-Type: application/xml; - feed no older than 10 days (ours updates automatically, so it doesn't expire);
- up to 1,000 feeds per website.
Verification
- On the "Feeds" tab, the source status should change to successful (verification passed).
- After indexing, products start appearing in Yandex search — in organic snippets, in the "Products" tab, in Images, and in product blocks. This does not happen instantly after the feed is approved.
- Visibility analytics are available in the dashboard — showing how your products are displayed.
What improves product display (recommended by Yandex):
- Schema.org structured data on product pages — our platform's storefront already provides this markup.
- An installed Yandex Metrica counter on the website.
- A "Buy in 1 click" button, as well as delivery and payment details.
- Completed photos and descriptions for products.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as Yandex Market?
No. Yandex Goods shows your items in Yandex search for free, but sales and checkout take place on your website. Yandex Market is a separate marketplace with orders and logistics handled inside Market itself.
Do I need to pay for Yandex Goods?
No, the service is free. You only pay for a subscription on our platform, as for any add-on.
Do I need to manually export or update the feed file?
No. The platform generates the YML feed automatically and updates it whenever catalog changes occur, so it never becomes outdated (Yandex rejects feeds older than 10 days).
The feed has been "under review" for several days — is this normal?
Yes, feed verification takes up to 5 business days. The status is visible on the "Feeds" tab in your account panel.
The feed was rejected — why?
A common reason is data discrepancy between the feed and the website (for example, the price in the feed does not match the price on the item page). Make sure the catalog is up to date and the storefront is published and accessible; after fixing the issue, the feed will be automatically resubmitted for review.
How do I verify site ownership if I have a {store}.menio.ru subdomain?
On a platform subdomain, you do not manage DNS, and the platform currently does not support inserting custom verification meta tags — contact support, and we will help verify your ownership. If you have your own domain, use the verification method via a DNS record in your Yandex account.
Why are some items performing poorly in search?
Items without photos and descriptions rank lower in search results. Fill out item cards with images and text — this directly affects visibility.
